FGA’s Kos Greek Ouzeri Makes It On The List of Best Desserts By Vangie Baga-Reyes

It was a treat for the taste buds as well as the eyes as Vangie Baga-Reyes launched her new book, “Best Desserts 4”. The launch, which boasted an all-you-can-eat free desserts spread, took place last May 28 at the SMX Convention Center in SM Aura. Truly the sweetest event of the year, it featured the creations of over 90 chefs which made it to this year’s list of best desserts. There really is nothing like an event with free desserts to bring together chefs and dessert lovers. There were cakes, ice cream, cookies, pies—anything that our sweet tooth could crave for. The book, which was the fourth of the best-selling series produced by Inquirer Lifestyle, honored different pastry chefs and establishments and we are more than proud to share that our very own Kos Greek Ouzeri made it on the list.

 

Kos Greek Ouzeri opened in 2013 as the first of the restaurants managed by First Gourmet Academy. The restaurant serves authentic Greek food. Rest assured only the freshest ingredients are used in the creation of the restaurant’s dishes. You may find some of the most unique desserts in our menu that will definitely entice your palate. We highly recommend you try our desserts, which are guaranteed to make it on your personal list of best desserts. Our Galaktoboureko, which is a custard pie in filo dough soaked with lamb butter, is definitely worth a try.

 

You may also help yourself to a serving of authentic Greek yogurt topped with spoon sweets, nuts and Greek thyme honey. We have Loukomades as well, a fried dough soaked in honey and cinnamon syrup. And finally, you don’t want to miss this layered filo pastry brushed with lamb butter and filled with nuts, sweetened with rosewater syrup, our very own, Baklava. You certainly won’t get to experience these anywhere else as Kos Greek Ouzeri is the only restaurant in the Philippines serving authentic Greek yogurt and the only one in Asia that uses Lamb butter.

 

Baga-Reyes has named Best Desserts 4 as the “most extensive and longest list of our best desserts” and we are deeply humbled to be included.
